Willy Cobb drops new grunge ballad, New Chapters

Georgia singer-songwriter Willy Cobb has shared a brand-new single, New Chapters.

The grungey balled follows the musician’s 2024 debut EP Country Punkin’, and hears him continue to celebrate his Southern, country-esque upbringing while combining it with the alt.rock genre he loves so much.

“There’s a whole minority of kids in the South that feel like me – that were weird and alternative in high school,” Willy explains of his style. “I want them to see that you don’t have to be country to be from Georgia.”

Speaking with NOTION last year, he elaborated: “The country part of it is that it’s me. I was raised country and that’s something that you just can’t hide no matter how hard you try. I make alt.rock music, but myself as a person is a country boy.”
