1. Electric Callboy – TANZNEID
A special Halloween treat from a bunch of guys who love to dress up, arriving as Electric Callboy gear up for their imminent UK tour. A title that translates as 'dance envy', the band say of the infectious and pounding TANZNEID that they "wanted to capture that wild tension between heavy energy and pure dancefloor madness. Turning our music into a party where everyone belongs." And with this banging slab of pulsating electro and banging metal madness, we'd say it's mission accomplished.
2. Artio – Let It Be A Void
A band to keep an eye on next year with their new album, Soul Rot, coming in January, Artio's glitchy brand of alt.rock veers between swinging heaviness and poptastic hooks, completely unafraid in its ambition to stand out from the crowd. As star-in-the-making Rae Brazill reckons with other people's ignorance and refusal to accept someone else's existence, the ever-growing digitised wall of sound becomes completely all-consuming. Dive in.
3. The Molotovs – Rhythm Of Yourself
Having just been announced as support on YUNGBLUD's arena tour next year, and selling out the Electric Ballroom in London with only a handful of songs to their name, it feels like the brother and sister duo of The Molotovs can do no wrong. Taking cues from Brit staples like The Clash and The Libertines, this latest slice of indie-punk feels like it's fuelled entirely by good times and pints in the beer garden with mates.
