New highlights

Trash Boat – Are You Ready Now?

Trash Boat have been dropping nuggets of new music over the past few months. Now they're ready to bundle it all together in new album Heaven Can Wait, out on October 4. Here, the St Albans crew back up singer Tobi Duncan's statement in this week's cover feature that they're dead against mediocrity. And he does a massive Chester Bennington scream towards the end as well. Nice.

Mastodon and Lamb Of God – Floods Of Triton

Oof, now that's a pairing, innit. What happens when you combine the twin powers of Mastodon and Lamb Of God on one beefy track? A big, bombastic pile of riffs that's as epic as it is headbutt-direct. More of this sort of thing.

House Of Protection – Better Off

Aric Improta and Stephen Harrison are back with their killer new band, House Of Protection. You've already heard the first offerings, now they've released their full, Jordan Fish-produced EP GALORE. Check out this slice of fried gold off it, and get ready for when they hit London next month.
