New highlights

1. Converge – Love Is Not Enough

Ah, the oddly enjoyable feeling of being inside a boiling kettle: Converge are back! Singer Jacob Bannon says that the Salem slaughterers' 11th album, Love Is Not Enough, coming on February 13, is different to other Converge records in that "it keeps ramping up". Bear that in mind when you consider that this rager is just the opening track. A furious, intense return from still one of the finest and most intelligent bands ever to do it.

2. Bad Omens – Left For Good

In which we find Noah Sebastian coming across all sexy and industrial, with a groove not dissimilar to Nine Inch Nails' Closer. Then it hits a massive chorus. Which is good, because Bad Omens are playing a load of giant venues in the UK this month. Good to have in the arsenal.

3. Don Broco – Euphoria

Talking of bands playing huge gigs soon: Don Broco are about to hit the arenas again. Euphoria is certainly massive, but it doesn't take the easy road, riding along on a stoppy-starty rhythm and deceptively off-kilter groove, like when you look at what's really going on under Limp Bizkit's bonnet (as in cars, not Freddy D's hat). Hurry up and make with the album, Bedfordshire blokes – these teasers have us, uh, teased.
