WREX announce SADWORLD EP, release new single Paranoia
WREX will drop their five-track SADWORLD EP in May, and they describe it as “a reflection on the impact of the world in its current state, and on the community”.
“A purge of energy, a release and a reflection of that ADHD itch you just can’t scratch…” WREX share their latest single from next month’s SADWORLD EP.
WREX have unleashed a new single, 111, which is precisely as long as its name suggests.
Taken from next month’s SADWORLD EP, the duo – vocalist Mae Seaton and co-vocalist/guitarist George Donoghue – reveal that the track was “written in and for the chaos of the live room. We wrote it during that burnt-out stretch after touring, and since then it’s become a real turning point in the set – the moment where everything suddenly locks in together.
“It feels like an anthem for our neurodiverse friends: a purge of energy, a release and a reflection of that ADHD itch you just can’t scratch – that restless pressure, that impulse to self-destruct when you’ve been holding everything together for too long.”
SADWORLD is due out on May 20. Listen to 111 below:
