Waterparks have unveiled a nostalgic new music video for their latest single, ANY MINUTE NOW.
As the trio prepare to bring the 2025 North American leg of The
Prowler Tour to an end, the video features footage from this latest run as well
as all sorts of heart-warming and nostalgic stuff that’ll have you
wishing it was 2016 all over again (or alternatively 2026, because that’s when the jaunt comes to the UK and Europe).
Frontman Awsten Knight has previously said that ANY MINUTE NOW is about the “uncertainty of growing up. When you’re a kid, everything feels so confusing and overwhelming, but you think, ‘When I’m older everything will make sense.’ Then you’re a teenager and you’re like, ‘This is all bullshit, but everything will make sense when I’m an adult, the rest of this will be figured out.’ Then you become an adult and you’re like, ‘Fuck, because I know to have even more questions now, things make even less sense.’
“When you’re younger, it’s easy to look at people who have lived longer than you for a guiding light or a North Star to follow, but the comfort comes from learning that you’re not as far behind everyone else as it may feel sometimes. Even if it seems like people have their shit together, most people are just doing their best, one day at a time.
“I think the idea is that even though you’re smarter than to assume anyone has all the answers, for some reason you, and everyone else continues looking for perfect resolution, validation, success, everything, waiting patiently saying, ‘This will all make sense… any minute now.’”
