Following RED GUITAR and IF LYRICS WERE CONFIDENTIAL, Waterparks have unveiled their third new single of the year…
Waterparks have dropped a brand-new single, ANY MINUTE NOW.
Following the release of previous bangers RED GUITAR and IF LYRICS WERE CONFIDENTIAL in recent months, the trio’s third single of 2025 finds frontman Awsten Knight reflecting on the “uncertainty of growing up. When you’re a kid, everything feels so confusing and overwhelming, but you think, ‘When I’m older everything will make sense.’ Then you’re a teenager and you’re like, ‘This is all bullshit, but everything will make sense when I’m an adult, the rest of this will be figured out.’ Then you become an adult and you’re like, ‘Fuck, because I know to have even more questions now, things make even less sense.’
“When you’re younger, it’s easy to look at people who have lived longer than you for a guiding light or a North Star to follow, but the comfort comes from learning that you’re not as far behind everyone else as it may feel sometimes. Even if it seems like people have their shit together, most people are just doing their best, one day at a time.
“I think the idea is that even though you’re smarter than to assume anyone has all the answers, for some reason you, and everyone else continues looking for perfect resolution, validation, success, everything, waiting patiently saying, ‘This will all make sense… any minute now.’”

Recently speaking to Kerrang! from the studio, Awsten revealed of his mindset when it comes to Waterparks’ new music: “When I was really young – I’m talking fourth, fifth, sixth grade – I would hear a song and just know whether it was special or timeless. We’ve finished about eight-and-a-half songs now, and there’s a lot that I think are incredible, but again, this isn’t about incredible. This is about something more. It has to be timeless, or I don’t want it.”
