As it arrives on Netflix today (April 3), the killer soundtrack for new animated series Devil May Cry has also dropped.
Netflix have revealed the soundtrack for season one of Devil May Cry.
After Evanescence unveiled their massive original song, Afterlife, for the series, some similarly huge bands are following suit, with Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine, Papa Roach and more also getting involved. Interestingly, too, Green Day are included on the soundtrack – but theirs is the only song that’s been redacted, so does that mean it’s something new, or it’s just being kept as a surprise in the show?!
A synopsis for Devil May Cry reads: ‘Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.’

Previously, creator Adi Shankar posted of the music in the show: “In my DMC Universe each season will have a different feel to emulate the way each game has a different feel. That means a different theme song each season and a completely different title design each season.
“Also… My DMC Universe is set in a late ’90s/early 2000s PS2 era
of the world. It’s not set in modern times. It’s set in my memory of the world,
pre- and post-9/11. My music choices reflect this.”
