Evanescence are back with new music – and it’s sounding seriously huge!

The alternative metal titans have teamed up with Netflix to share epic single Afterlife, which is taken from the soundtrack to new series Devil May Cry (which hits the streaming giant on April 3). Afterlife was co-written by the band’s own Amy Lee with Mako’s Alex Seaver, and co-produced by Alex and Nick Raskulinecz.

Is it a sign of what else is to come from them? In a recent interview, Amy teased that Afterlife was “the first of many” new songs, and said that the band were “working on a lot of songs right now for the new album, but this came up through Netflix, and we were just really excited to have an excuse to get in there right away.”

Check out Afterlife via the lyric video below, before it hits Spotify etc at midnight:

Catch Evanescence supporting Halsey on her For My Last Trick: The Tour at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 14, and see them as special guests to My Chemical Romance at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on September 13. After that, they will join Metallica on the road in Australia and New Zealand.
