Oli Sykes and Alissic reveal they’re expecting twins
Watch Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes and his wife Alissic do a gender reveal video for their future twins.
The line-up has been revealed for May’s TON Fest hosted on Telegram Messenger, and it’ll include a ‘one-off avatar performance’ by Alissic.
Alissic is set to play the digital TON Fest on Friday, May 23.
Fresh from revealing the wonderful news that she is expecting twins with her husband Oli Sykes, the musician and artist will be doing a set this month for the virtual event, which is hosted on Telegram Messenger. Also playing the online fest are Rich Brian, Lil Gnar, Lil Bubble, Tobias Dray and Wonder Phil.
Posting about her upcoming set, TON Fest say: “Alissic is glitch-pop royalty from another dimension. Model-turned-musician with a surreal aesthetic and bangers that hit like a dream gone off the rails – don’t sleep on her. Don’t miss her one-off avatar performance exclusively at TON Fest!”
It’ll be the first performance from Alissic since she released CONCRETE, and went into detail about her delayed return to music. “I used to sell my face for a living, but I always wished to sell my heart,” she explained. “So, five years I ago, I made a song in my bedroom, called like, and my dream came true. It went (kind of) viral, and faster than you can say, ‘Holy poop!’ I found myself in a fierce battle among Earth’s major music labels.
“After forging an alliance, I released a bunch of songs that amassed millions of streams and toured the planet. At first, I was quite the happy chappy. But soon, I became disenchanted with earth’s music industry, who to me, seem more interested in making social media celebrities than the next true musician.
“It wasn’t easy, but I’ve finally broke free of their corporate curse. And I’ve spent the last two years creating the music that truly reflects how I feel inside. Soon, I will embark on my maiden voyage. I hope you will join me on the journey.”
