See BMTH play Wonderwall at their first show of the year
Bring Me The Horizon returned to the stage in Germany last night (June 4), and gave their 2025 cover of Oasis’ Wonderwall its live debut.
With the help of her husband Oli Sykes and “a few talented friends”, Alissic has unveiled her debut EP ARC 01: MAIDEN.
After making her musical return with CONCRETE back in March, Alissic has just dropped her first-ever EP.
Entitled ARC 01: MAIDEN, the five-track release has been a long time in the making, with the musician going independent (on her own CLASSII Records) in order to get it out into the world.
“This record is a scrapbook of everything in my head: sounds, feelings, dreams, nightmares, voice notes, frog rescue plans, spiritual awakenings, and a lot of late night existential crises that somehow turned into pop songs,” Alissic explains. “I wrote and produced all five tracks myself, with a little help from a few talented friends, including my husband Oliver Sykes, who owed me after I played a cyborg on his metal album.
“We recorded it between Brazil and the UK, on kitchen floors, inside jungle huts, and probably one or two haunted studios. The whole thing has been sitting with me for two years, while I battled with my old label, shed a few identities, and decided to start from scratch.
“Making this as an independent artist has been equal parts terrifying and freeing. I’ve taken back control of my art, my voice, my weird little universe. And yes, I shot the music videos for it while eight months pregnant. Hormones really don’t help when you’re trying not to laugh at a frog peer pressuring you into doing psychoactive beans.”
Alissic adds that the songs “explore transformation, memory, nature, and becoming your own kind of maiden”, and promises that the whole thing “is just the beginning of this new chapter”.
