A 1961 Chevrolet Greenbrier van that was once owned by Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong (and is customised accordingly) is up for sale.
The vehicle was apparently accidentally purchased by current owner Graham van de Laar via auction website Trade Me, and is now being resold for the buy-it-now price of $39,995, or available to bid on starting from $37,995.
Graham tells stuff.co.nz that while driving it in his home of New Zealand (the van was previously imported from Billie's native California), he's had "people waving from the side of the road" as it attracts "enormous" attention. Which is understandable, obviously.
Not only does the van have a customised GRNDAY number plate, it also features Billie Joe's signature on the glove box, and comes accompanied with the State of California Certificate of Title to prove that it was indeed owned by the frontman.
"It was Billie Joe's personal surf van he used in California," Graham says. "It is very unique as it is likely to be the only one on the road in New Zealand, and the only one in the world that was once owned by Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong!"
