unpeople have dropped a new single, the garden, which the band reveal began as a “musical joke that we couldn’t stop singing for weeks on end”.
Watch the video for unpeople’s massive new single waste, which the band describe as “a ‘government bad’ song in the most apathetic way possible”.
Awesome British newcomers unpeople have just announced their debut self-titled EP.
The band – Jake Crawford, Luke Caley, Meg Mash and Richard Rayner – will be unveiling their first proper release on April 19 via SharpTone, following last year’s debut single smother.
The five-track record is also set to include killer new single waste, which is out today (watch the video below). unpeople describe the single as “essentially a ‘government bad’ song in the most apathetic way possible. Feeling completely helpless while watching public services being decimated with zero signs of remorse or self-awareness from those in positions of power.
“There is an element of Brexit inspired self-inflicted wounds. People lapping up what was essentially propaganda then complaining when they get what they voted for. I know it’s not my place to say… I’m no expert… but you can’t deny the irreparable damage that has been and will continue to be caused.
“We’re going to waste it all away.”
