Sleep Token have just released a brand-new single, Caramel.
The track follows last month’s Emergence and is yet another
breath of fresh air from the masked superstars, incorporating new elements as well as boasting that
signature Sleep Token heaviness we’ve come to expect throughout their discography.
It’s also incredibly honest, with Vessel seemingly focusing on his own personal experiences in the band rather than any cryptic lore: ‘Every time they try to shout my real name just to get a rise from me,’ he sings, ‘Acting like I’m never stressed out by the hearsay / I guess that’s what I get for trying to hide in the limelight / Guess that’s what I get for having 20/20 hindsight.’
He later admits, ‘So I’ll keep dancing’ along to the rhythm / This stage is a prison, a beautiful nightmare.’
Both Caramel and Emergence are taken from Sleep Token’s fourth
album Even In Arcadia – the follow-up to 2023’s Take Me Back To Eden
– which is due out on May 9 via RCA Records.
Get your teeth stuck into Caramel (pun intended) now…
