“Until our paths cross again”: Sleep Token wrap up Even In Arcadia U.S. tour

Sleep Token’s nearly-month-long run in the U.S. finished up in Los Angeles over the weekend.

On October 11, the band brought their sold-out Even In Arcadia tour to a close at the 20,000-capacity Crypto.com Arena. In their typically cryptic wording, they posted afterwards: “With the Los Angeles Ritual now consigned to memory, so concludes the Even In Arcadia run across North America.

“Eternal thanks are extended to all who gathered – these nights belonged to you. Until our paths cross again.” (They currently have ‘no upcoming tour dates’ on their website, so when might that be?!)

As well as many headline dates between September 16 and October 11, Sleep Token’s latest tour also took in a mega stop at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky. In our review of that show, we noted that, “Here, the number of true believers is much, much higher, with masked, robed disciples somehow not catching fire wearing their outfits all day in 30-degree heat. Those who aren’t already acolytes quickly get sucked in. Even a beer seller in the crowd is heard giving a disbelieving “Fuck me” as the onstage waterfall begins to pour during Emergence. Same goes for the exclamations when the sax glides sassily out.”

Pondering the band’s future, K! added: “It was thought, perhaps, that the ascent to festival headliner might finally answer the question of where the roof on this thing is for Sleep Token. Though we’re getting closer, and this is a setting they wear very well, the way they’ve grown into it says there’s plenty more to pick at here. And you thought Vessel knew what he was doing before…”
