Following a couple of singles already this year, Rise Against have now just announced details of their brand-new album Ricochet.
The follow-up to 2021’s killer Nowhere Generation is due out on August 15 via Loma Vista Recordings, and it hears the Chicago punks teaming up with producer Catherine Marks and mixer Alan Moulder.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Kerrang! In Conversation podcast, frontman Tim McIlrath teased of the record: “I think people are going to hear a 2025 version of Rise Against – there’s gonna be some traditional stuff like everyone’s heard Nod, but I think you’ll hear some stuff like, ‘This wasn’t something I expected.’ I’m excited.”
They’ve also just unleashed new single I Want It All to mark the announcement, with Tim explaining that, “The algorithm wants our attention so it is designed to make us laugh or cry, but mostly, it wants us to be angry, because that is how it spreads the furthest. Like a pile of marbles, hit hard. Who benefits from our anger? Questions we don't ask, as we fire away.”
