So far, the English summer has been a bit of a mixed bag. But what we all really care about, of course, is how things are going to fare at this year’s Download, which takes place from Friday, June 13 to Sunday, June 15 (with campers starting to arrive on Wednesday, June 11).

Early reports from Derby are suggesting that things are looking “unsettled” in the area next week, weather-wise, and that right now it’s too soon to say how warm or rainy it’s definitely going to be. Looking at BBC Weather’s forecast for Castle Donington, we’d suggest – as always – to prepare for all conditions.

Here’s your day-by-day look at the early weather forecast for Download Festival 2025, which we’ll be reviewing every day.

Updated as of 2pm BST, June 5:

June 13Friday

“Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze” is what we’re getting now for Download’s big kick-off, which is already an improvement from our first look at the weather yesterday! There’ll be a high of 23 degrees and a low of 12, and it’s going to be quite clear in the evening – so Billie Joe Armstrong probably won’t ‘hear the sound of the falling rain’ when Green Day headline.

June 14Saturday

Saturday, on the other hand, is looking a little worse than we first noted, with “light rain showers and a gentle breeze”. We’re getting highs of 22 and a low of 12 – and while we might get a bit wet in the day, we’re confident the likes of Hatebreed, Poppy, Palaye Royale and Don Broco will warm everyone up anyway.

June 15Sunday

Again, there’s going to be “light rain showers and a gentle breeze” on Download’s final day, but from 7pm onwards BBC are forecasting lovely sun, meaning the weather can evaporate our tears over the fact that we’ll all be going home in the morning. Waaaah.
