Metallica are teaming up with Apple to showcase their performance from the band’s Mexico City M72 performance on a “whole new level”.
Metallica have announced a brand-new Apple Immersive concert experience, from their M72 World Tour in Mexico City.
The metal legends will be revealing performances of Whiplash, One and Enter Sandman, captured at last year’s run of dates at the Estadio GNP Seguros. The unique showing will be available to see for free from March 14 on Apple Vision Pro, and as the band themselves say in a statement, it marks a “new foray into immersive technology”.
Fans will be able to see everything from “points as close up as the Snake Pit to wide-angle views”, or for those who simply just want to listen, the collection will also be available as a new Metallica Live From Mexico City EP in Spatial Audio on Apple Music. “Check it out…” ’Tallica say. “It’s unlike anything we’ve ever done before!”
