System Of A Down add new stadium dates with Korn, A7X and Deftones
System Of A Down’s previously-announced stadium dates with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones have already sold out, with the band adding second nights in each city.
We’re still wrapping our heads around the absolutely extraordinary Life Is But A Dream…, but frontman M. Shadows suggests there’s already plans for Avenged Sevenfold’s next album.
There was a seven-year wait between 2016’s The Stage and this year’s mind-bending Life Is But A Dream…, but it sounds as though we won’t have to wait that long again for Avenged Sevenfold’s next album.
In a new interview on Loudwire Nights (listen below), frontman M. Shadows has shared that he is looking forward to even more exploration from the Huntington Beach metal heroes in the future – and that he hopes “we can do it sooner than later, honestly”, though it’ll come “down to touring schedules and when we can get back in there”.
Speaking about what might be coming, Shadows teases, “There’s something vastly different in the works. There were some avenues on this record that we really wanted to explore… I appreciate that comparison [the interviewer makes a comparison of Nine Inch Nails’ The Downward Spiral going into The Fragile] because I love that record, there is so much chaos and then there’s beauty in the chaos. I think of [Weezer’s] Pinkerton, that’s another record that’s chaotic but so beautiful.”
Detailing where things are at while not giving anything away, the singer also reveals: “There are things that were left on the sides of this record that didn’t quite make it that can be explored that I think will be incredible, that will be a very cool, soothing sort of connection to this record.”
