Six years on from 2020’s colossal I Let It In And It Took Everything, Loathe have finally announced their new album, A Stranger To You.

The Liverpool stars’ long-awaited full-length is set to arrive on July 17 via SharpTone Records, and is described in a press release as their most ‘sonically adventurous work to date’ (something you will have likely anticipated based on last year’s single Gifted Every Strength).

Loathe haven’t yet revealed all the names of the 14 songs that make up A Stranger To You, however we do know that Gifted Every Strength is 13th on the tracklist. Meanwhile, they’ve also shared brutal new single Revenant starring NOWHERE2RUN’s Jami Morgan and Eric ‘Shade’ Balderose, and that’s number eight in the running order.

This time last year we asked the band why their new music took as long as it had, to which bassist Feisal El-Khazragi explained that it took them a moment to find themselves again after the success of I Let It In…

“The fact is that we were changing as people so much, and that was changing our tastes,” he said. “It’s taken a while for the dust to settle within our tastes and to land on something that we felt comfortable with, that we can put out and present as a band.”
