Live review: Loathe, London Electric Brixton
Loathe obliterate their biggest ever UK headline show – now, where’s that new album?
Following 2025 (currently standalone) single Gifted Every Strength, Loathe are teasing something called A Stranger To You.
Will 2026 be the year of a long-awaited new Loathe album? Quite possibly…
The band have launched a website which has the URL astrangertoyou.com, and simply features the words A STRANGER TO YOU, along with a subscribe button. Could this be a soon-to-be-unveiled follow-up to last year’s epic Gifted Every Strength single, or maybe even that new record at long last? Who knows. Throughout 2025 the band also performed an unreleased song called Revenant live, but again have been holding on to it and keeping it for live shows only, so more new music certainly does exist…
Back in May, we asked the band about the delay between 2020’s I Let It In And It Took Everything (and 2021’s The Things They Believe instrumental LP) and now. Vocalist Kadeem France said that it was just “Life, really!” that got in the way, while bassist Feisal El-Khazragi explained that, following I Let It In…, Loathe were “changing as people so much, and that was changing our tastes. It’s taken a while for the dust to settle within our tastes and to land on something that we felt comfortable with, that we can put out and present as a band.”
Watch this space…
