Limp Bizkit, RATM, Papa Roach and a redacted Green Day song are on the Devil May Cry soundtrack
As it arrives on Netflix today (April 3), the killer soundtrack for new animated series Devil May Cry has also dropped.
The members of Limp Bizkit are all in the studio together… could something ‘nu’ be on the way?!
Updated story: Here’s another post from the band, very much confirming new music!
Original story: Last October, Limp Bizkit revealed that they were tracking drums with “human drum machine” John Otto in the studio.
Since then we’ve not heard any whisperings of what this was for, but the band have literally just posted another pic from the studio (April 30) – this time of all of them together, seemingly from vocalist Fred Durst’s perspective, holding his phone in one hand and a microphone in the other. The caption simply reads “Nu”, which we’re hoping is a suggestion that the nu-metal legends are working on something, well, new.
Bizkit released their last album Still Sucks back in 2021, and have since spent quite a bit of time on the road. They’ll be back in the UK in August to sub-headline to Bring Me The Horizon at Reading & Leeds – and we wouldn’t say no to a new single or two before then, just FYI, chaps…
In our review of Limp Bizkit’s Manchester show last month, we said that, “Time travel is unnecessary because the band are experiencing a new heyday 30 years in. About 70 per cent of the crowd raise their hands when Fred asks if this is their first Bizkit show. And when he invites two red-capped fans onstage, who may not even have been in nappies when the frontman first invited the world to kiss his starfish, they spit each bar of Full Nelson like it’s their anthem. Fred beams like a proud, potty-mouthed uncle.
“A curfew-defying second bout of Break Stuff delivers the knockout, leaving this crowd wrecked and grinning. For anyone who ever wrote them off in 1999 (or, indeed, ever), Limp Bizkit are having the last laugh.”
