Live review: Iron Maiden, London Stadium
Goal! Maiden’s coming home as ’Arry’s ’Ammers win big at 50th-anniversary West Ham super-gig.
“Undeniably historical”: Iron Maiden and Represent have teamed up for an ’80s-inspired 18-piece collection, celebrating the heavy metal legends’ 50th anniversary.
Following last year’s team-up with Metallica, luxury streetwear brand Represent have unveiled a new collab with Iron Maiden.
It marks the heavy metal titans’ first-ever official fashion partnership, consisting of 18 pieces inspired by legendary mascot Eddie as well as the likes of A Real Live One, Infinite Dreams, Holy Smoke, Killers, The Number Of The Beast and The Trooper.
“The next band collaboration we are launching is with one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time,” enthuses Represent co-founder and creative director George Heaton. “They’ve never done a fashion collaboration before, meaning we’re the first to touch their artwork. The most influential and long-standing dedicated fanbase in the industry, undeniably historical.”
“Proud to be part of the first-ever fashion collaboration between band and brand – a surreal and special moment working with both legendary and iconic artworks of a band that shaped generations, fusing the legacy of Iron Maiden with Represent for the very first time,” adds fellow co-founder and creative director Mike Heaton. “Our largest vintage rock collaboration to date – this 18-piece collection celebrates Maiden’s 50th anniversary. Heavily inspired by the ’80s, referencing authentic vintage jersey and leather styles. Each with layered detailing, from the soft touch jersey bases, to sun-fade washing, distressing, embellishment, weightless printing and appliqués.”
Represent x Iron Maiden is available worldwide from representclo.com, as well as the Manchester and Los Angeles stores, and the likes of END, Flannels and Selfridges. Take a look at some of what they’ve got going on below:
