Represent have teamed up with Metallica for a new collaboration celebrating 40 years of Ride The Lightning and more…
Luxury streetwear brand Represent have unveiled a brand-new capsule collection with the one and only Metallica.
The 19-piece collection features everything from T-shirts to leather jackets to hoodies, all paying homage to classic albums from The Four Horsemen's career like Master Of Puppets, ...And Justice For All and Garage, Inc.
Ride The Lightning forms the backbone of the capsule however, the thrash masterpiece (thrashterpiece?) that's celebrating its 40th anniversary this summer, which sees the album's iconic artwork emblazoned on vintage tees, longsleeves and hoodies.
Speaking about the new collab, Represent art director and co-founder Michael Heaton says, "For me this journey started seven years ago, when I found a vintage thrashed Metallica T-shirt in LA, which since then has inspired the inherent DNA of our graphic collections.
"Today, we showcase a true collaboration, not just a licensing deal. Represent x Metallica is an authentically co-branded collection; it’s a seamless synergy of brand and band. Fabrics have been redeveloped and meticulously refined to give the essence of over 40 years of wear. We exhibit hand-painted artwork, new washes and primarily a new standard of elevation for the brand.
"It’s truly a full-circle moment to bring grails like these from the past back to life.”
The collection goes on sale April 24. Check it out in the gallery below.
