The British heavy metal icons have revealed details of their highly-anticipated documentary film, which goes by the full name Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition.

Iron Maiden have officially announced their brand-new documentary film, Burning Ambition.

Landing in cinemas from May 7, 2026, the movie was directed by Malcolm Venville and produced by Dominic Freeman, and not only features appearances by the band – Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Bruce Dickinson, Janick Gers and the retired Nicko McBrain – but also their legendary manager Rod Smallwood, plus celebs and musicians like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich and Chuck D.

A synopsis reads: ‘With unprecedented access to official band archives, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition charts five decades of one of the most iconic journeys in music history. Featuring interviews with the band and contributors such as Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich and Chuck D, this electrifying film offers an intimate look at their uncompromising vision and unwavering connection with their global army of fans.’
