After revealing last week that he was working with acclaimed horror special effects artist Tom Savini on his new Slipknot mask, Corey Taylor has unveiled some (slightly gross) behind the scenes snaps from its creation.
"Since I can’t show you the mask yet… here’s what we go through to have them made," the frontman posted on Instagram, along with a load of photos of a mould around his entire head to form what will eventually form part of the Iowa titans' next era.
Speaking on the Let There Be Talk podcast, Corey said of his partnership with Tom Savini: "He’s the godfather to me. Got to hang out with him, got to talk with him. Met him through a friend who actually works with him. And the three of us were kind of developing this new mask together so I’m kind of fuckin’ chuffed on that.”
Yep, this has gotten us very, very excited.
