Bristol punks Heavy Lungs drop new single, Mr. Famous, which they describe as a “collection of exaggerated proclamations and God honest truths”.
Ahead of the release of second album Caviar in just a few weeks, Heavy Lungs have dropped a new single, Mr. Famous.
The track is described by vocalist Danny Nedelko as a “satirisation of my desire for grandeur. A collection of exaggerated proclamations and God honest truths. Which one is which you ask? I’m Mr. Famous, stop bothering me.” Meanwhile, guitarist Oli Southgate says the musical inspiration was “The White Stripes if they smoked ganja”.
Caviar is due out in full on April 18 via Fat Cat Records, and is about “longing for a better life that currently seems beyond my grasp”. Singer Danny also reveals Heavy Lungs’ overall mission statement, which is a simple but effective one: “Write fast. Play fast. Wear earplugs.”
