The big review: Download Festival 2025 – Sunday
It’s the last day of Download 2025 – here’s how the final Donington celebration is signing off for another year…
Everyone’s favourite goth queen Harpy hits London in December.
Fresh from slathering Download in a layer of sin this past weekend, Harpy has announced her biggest headline show to date in support of her upcoming EP, VII.
On December 1, hot on the heels of the EP's release on November 7, she'll cast her dark, dominant spell on London's Oslo. It will be, she promises, a night to remember.
“I’m brimming with anticipation for this show," she says. "We gave everybody a taste of what we were capable of at the last headline but I can now reveal the true depths of this record and myself, finally, onstage.
"I have lots of exciting things planned and I can’t wait for everybody to descend with me into the deep dark corners of VII.”
VII, based around – what else? – the seven deadly sins, was announced a couple of weeks back, with the saucy video for Last Time. She calls the EP “a chance for me to repent my sins, for the whole world to see." The song, meanwhile, is about pure, in-the-moment desire, for fear that you may never get to do something, or someone, again…
"Last Time is the sin of lust," she says. "During the writing process, we called it Apocalypse. It’s about the darkest of desires, a magnetic pull to the passions of the flesh, hedonistic, wanting on to feel ultimate euphoria and stopping at nothing until I achieve it.
"If you’re going to fuck me, you better fuck me like it’s the end of the world, like its the last time."
