After digging back into the BBC archives earlier this year, Green Day have announced details of a full live album of their broadcasts from over the years.
The BBC Sessions – due out on December 10 – will consist of 16 songs recorded between 1994 and 2001 at London's legendary Maida Vale Studios, all mastered and made available for the first time ever.
Things kick off back in the Dookie era with 1994 recordings of She, When I Come Around, Basket Case and 2000 Light Years Away. Two years later Green Day returned to perform Geek Stink Breath, Brain Stew/Jaded, Walking Contradiction and Stuck With Me, and then in 1998 they played Hitchin' A Ride, Nice Guys Finish Last, Prosthetic Head and Redundant.
Finally, The BBC Sessions will then finish up with 2001 recordings of Castaway, Church On Sunday, Minority and Waiting. What a killer selection!
The album will be available on CD, digital and limited-edition 2LP vinyl, with liner notes by Steve Lamacq who attended each session.
