The name of Green Day’s coming-of-age comedy movie has changed
Formerly New Years Rev, the name of Green Day’s coming-of-age comedy has changed to Nimrods, and it’s been acquired by Inaugural Entertainment.
The 30-year anniversary celebrations of Dookie are rolling on, with Green Day announcing a limited-edition capsule collection with Dickies.
Green Day and Dickies have announced that they’re joining forces for a limited-edition Dookie (Dookies? Dickie?!) capsule collection.
With the band’s third album reaching its 30th anniversary earlier this year, Billie Joe Armstrong and co. are releasing several Dookie-themed items with the iconic workwear company to celebrate.
“We’ve all rocked Dickies as long as we can remember,” say Green Day, “so teaming up with them to honour 30 years of Dookie is pretty rad!”
Via Fashion United, Dickies director of marketing Troy Kerr also enthuses that, “We are so excited to work with a band as legendary as Green Day as they celebrate Dookie’s 30th anniversary and their upcoming world tour.
“As a workwear brand organically adopted by so many, the partnership was a natural fit, aligning with our values and allowing us to develop a collection that celebrates both the band and the hard-working crew behind the scenes.”
The Green Day x Dickies collab consists of four items: a T-shirt, hoodie, work jacket, and perhaps coolest of all, a set of coveralls inspired by the Basket Case video.
You can grab this stuff via Green Day’s webstore, as well as in Urban Outfitters from June 14, and exclusive tour merch from July 29.
