Ghost have uploaded the final edition of their Ghoulbangers Ball series for the year.
The 10-minute-long episode captures the band’s September 24 and 25 gigs at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes (of course, sadly the first date was cancelled due to Tobias Forge having food poisoning). Despite the tricky circumstances, though, host Vanessa Warwick and the team make the very best of the situation, heading out and about to hang out with fans and throw in some cool Ghost lore – for example, visiting the church of San Juan Bautista, and reflecting on Cardinal Copia’s transformation into Papa Emeritus IV at the end of the Prequelle cycle.
Elsewhere, there’s plenty of live snippets to enjoy – Lachryma, Dance Macabre, Umbra and Square Hammer – and interviews and footage with the band’s incredibly dedicated fans, all dressed up in their fantastic ritual ready attire. After these shows, Ghost took to social media to announce that they filmed everything on 16mm “for the rest of the world to see at some point”, so fingers crossed there’s lots more still to come…
