Our questions have been answered! Evanescence have just announced a brand-new single for forthcoming Netflix series Devil May Cry.

The band will drop the massive-sounding Afterlife this week, before the show lands on the streaming service on April 3. Up first, there’ll be a lyric video (“featuring exclusive clips” from Devil May Cry) on Thursday, March 27 at 9am PT, and then on Friday, March 28 the single properly arrives.

Hear a snippet of Afterlife below:

Last September, vocalist Amy Lee revealed that the band were getting into the “creative process” for the potential follow-up to 2021 album The Bitter Truth.

“We’re not deep in the throes of it yet,” Amy said. “We’ve been doing a lot of creating, and we just have, like, tons of ideas. So we’re gonna get serious and get in the studio in November for the first round – round one.”

Did Afterlife come from those sessions, perhaps?!
