Here’s the weather forecast for Download Festival 2025
Suncream or wellies? Band tees or raincoats? It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and as Download Festival 2025 fast approaches, here’s how the weather in Castle Donington is looking…
Download TV is coming to bring the noise even when there's no action at Donington...
As we all know, there will be no Download festival this year. We, like you, are gutted. We all should be looking forward to getting up to Donington Park in June, ready to watch KISS, Iron Maiden, System Of A Down and a shitload more over three days of chaos and fun.
Dates for next year's event have already been announced - June 4-6 2021 - which is grand, but it's a long old wait. So, to stem the boredom, on June 12-14 this year - the weekend Download should have happened - the festival organisers have announced Download TV, a virtual festival you can enjoy from the comfort and safety of your home.
"Pitch your tent, erect your flags, put up your horns and get ready to mosh (at a socially responsible distance!)" say the team, as they promise "Unseen performances, special interviews, exclusive footage, interactive content" available via their socials.
The full line-up and info on extras will be announced shortly, but judging by how much killer stuff there is in this six-minute roundup of last year's shenanigans, Download's bulging archives are going to be loaded with stuff to make this almost as good as the real thing.
