Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
As well as hopefully continuing to tour We Are Not Your Kind in 2021, Slipknot might also have new music coming next year…
It's been spoken about for a little while now that Slipknot are thinking about a new record, with Corey Taylor revealing back in October that artistic mastermind Clown was in a "trippy" place when it came to fresh material. Now, the frontman says we might even get to hear this work in 2021.
Speaking on the Good Company show, Corey said that once that coronavirus pandemic is hopefully out of the way, Slipknot hope to finish up the touring cycle for 2019's incredible We Are Not Your Kind album, as well as starting to think about putting together its follow-up "maybe next year".
"The plan right now with Slipknot is to try and A) finish up the touring next year, and B) we're thinking about kind of putting another album out maybe next year," he explains. "But I don't know. I don't know what the plan is yet.

"I just know that we all kind of feel like there's unfinished business and we wanna finish that out before we do anything. But I know that we were talking about doing it, ’cause we only have one album left on our contract [with our record label]."
Of course, Corey also released his own debut solo album, CMFT, earlier this year. And the musician seemingly plans to work full-steam-ahead on more solo material, too, telling Kerrang! in August that he has enough music already to release two more LPs.
“My future’s not set anymore,” he said. “I do know that I’ve got material for two other albums. I’ve been sitting on a lot of stuff for a long, long time, so I’m definitely prepared for it, and I’ve already got it mapped out how I will do it.
“Once everything starts to fire back up – knock on wood – it’s probably going to be another year of touring with Slipknot, just to cover our bases and make sure we get around the world, and get to the fans,” Corey continued. “And I’m not going to hold that up, because I know the fans have been waiting for a long time for us to get there.”
