Hot Milk to play biggest headline gigs to date on autumn tour
Fresh from Slam Dunk, Hot Milk have revealed a four-date UK tour of the biggest venues they’ve ever headlined, with support from Cassyette and Silly Goose.
As Cassyette unveils new single Phantom Limb from her This World Still F*cking Sucks deluxe edition, she also reveals how she’s started to move on from her debut album era.
Cassyette has just unveiled the deluxe edition of her debut album, This World Fucking Sucks.
The newly-released This World Still Fucking Sucks – out today, April 18 – includes stunning single Phantom Limb, plus her viral cover of Lady Gaga’s Disease, and alternate versions of When She Told Me and Sex Metal.
Speaking about Phantom Limb and what this record means as a whole, Cassyette reveals: “Phantom limb syndrome is a chronic condition that causes people to feel sensations in a missing limb. Someone I know had the condition and we talked about how the body holds onto pain and can get so accustomed to particular feelings, whether that’s mental or physical to the point where the catalyst is no longer there but it still feels so present.
“Phantom Limb is about what it’s like to leave someone toxic that never loved you back. Being out of the toxic situation yet my body was holding onto residual feelings and emotional pain for long after. I felt like I had to relearn my entire existence.
“This World Still Fucking Sucks is very much that chapter of my life,” she concludes. “I am closing that chapter now. Life has changed and something new is bubbling.”
