Cassyette is teasing a brand-new single, Oops (it’s a bad idea)

Cassyette is set to return with brand-new music next month.

Following 2024’s This World Fucking Sucks debut, and last year’s This World Still Fucking Sucks deluxe edition, the nu-gen fave has just announced that she’ll be dropping new single Oops (it’s a bad idea) on April 17. She’s already shared a snippet of the track, along with the lyrics, ‘It’s a bad idea but I’m gonna do it anyway…’ plus a presave link and what seems to be a clip of a music video starring Bambie Thug, Eyeflood and dancer Quinn Chaos.

On a 2024 episode of the Kerrang! In Conversation podcast, Cassyette said of her mindset following This World Fucking Sucks: “I know people have a lot of goals, but I’m just happy to be here, and I want to keep going. I want to tour more, I want to play in front of more people, I hope more people hear the music. And I just want to write another album, to be honest. I’ve started writing something but I don’t know what it will be. I’ve started writing new music.

“I try not to overthink. I get hung up on the ‘life is too short’ thing, so if I start overthinking the future and overplanning it, it freaks me out, because you can’t. You can’t have things that you want to do. I like having things that seem feasible to me. And what seems feasible to me is playing to more people and releasing more music. And if anything else happens on the way it’s just a bonus!”
