Album review: Arch Enemy – Blood Dynasty
Swedish metal aristocrats Arch Enemy keep thrashing on with merciless 12th album Blood Dynasty.
Former Arch Enemy singer Alissa White-Gluz is going solo, and she’s just released lead single The Room Where She Died.
Vocalist Alissa White-Gluz has parted ways with Arch Enemy.
Following a 12-year stint with the Swedish melodic death metallers, the singer has taken to social media to simply state that the two have “parted ways”, and that she is “forever thankful to the thousands of amazing fans I have met along the way”.
Likewise, the band have kept things relatively short and simple regarding the situation, writing of Alissa: “We’re thankful for the time and music that we’ve shared and wish her all the best.” They haven’t revealed her replacement yet, but they do tease, “Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning.”
Since then, Alissa has unveiled new solo single The Room Where She Died, which she describes as a song that “feels truly satisfying to me; like I get to express myself in so many ways that have been dormant for years.” She’s also got a solo album on the way, which she says is “diverse” and enthuses, “Can’t wait to share more with you!”
