Arch Enemy announce 12th album, Blood Dynasty
Arch Enemy’s new record Blood Dynasty will drop in March, and Michael Amott reveals that it’s “everything you’ve come to expect from this band, and then some!”
PETA have shared a striking new image of Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz as a mermaid, raising awareness for veganism and protecting fish and our oceans.
Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz has teamed up with PETA for a powerful new campaign image.
The vocalist and long-time vegan joins the likes of AFI and Lordi who have also fairly done recent campaigns with the animal rights organisation, taking a particular focus on fish and the oceans for this ad.
Alissa explains in an accompanying video going behind the scenes on the photoshoot that people often “disregard” sea creatures, not to mention the impact of fishing completely destroying our oceans. That’s why she’s chosen to transform herself into a mermaid trapped in a net, with the caption reading: ‘Put yourself in their place.’
In a 2019 interview with Kerrang!, Alissa enthused that: “Being vegan is the ultimate form of rebellion. It’s taking everything that you’re supposed to do, and going against it. That’s way more fucking badass than anything else you could do!”
