It'd be easy to think of producer Erik Ron as unreachably huge. With a resume that includes huge acts like Panic! At The Disco, Godsmack, New Years Day, Motionless In White, Attila, and more, Ron has experience with working alongside bands and musicians who many of us could only dream of meeting. Not only does Ron work with bands behind the mixing board, he also takes part in the writing process, helping bands refine their songs and get the huge, polished sound that such big-name acts so covet.
Now, in the latest episode of Mixing Masters, our collaboration with Unstoppable Recording Machine's Nail The Mix, Erik discusses both his process as a producer, and how he has ended up with such a heavy-hitting clientele list. What might be interesting to some fans is that though Erik has worked with these huge names, he got to where he is by working with one interesting band at a time. He also discusses helping establish an identity as a producer and musician, so that your name becomes requested rather than just a hired hand.
