Funeral For A Friend announce two massive UK shows for 2025
Funeral For A Friend – fronted by Holding Absence’s Lucas Woodland – will hit Leeds and Cardiff for their only UK dates of next year…
Huge congratulations to Skindred, who have just picked up the 2024 MOBO Award for Best Alternative, having gone up against ALT BLK ERA, Arlo Parks, Deijuvhs, Kid Bookie and Young Fathers.
Earlier tonight (February 7), Skindred picked up the Best Alternative Music Act award at the MOBOs.
The Newport legends – whose long-running line-up consists of Benji Webbe, Dan Pugsley, Mikey Demus and Arya Goggin – went up against tough competition in the 2024 category, but ultimately came out on top against the excellent selection of ALT BLK ERA, Arlo Parks, Deijuvhs, Kid Bookie and Young Fathers.
And it’s undoubtedly a hugely deserved victory, too, following a whirlwind 2023 which included an albums chart battle with their eighth record Smile. That’s a sentiment one of their competitors Kid Bookie also shared, taking to X/Twitter following the band’s win to pay tribute and say that, “Skindred deserve this. 23 years in the game, I got a lot to do before that.”
In just a couple of months’ time, Skindred will continue their celebrations with several UK arena shows, including their biggest-ever date headlining London’s OVO Arena Wembley.
