From Florence Pugh to Bill Hader, the Osbourne family throw around some suggestions for the planned Ozzy and Sharon biopic, which will portray the couple from between the years of 1979 to 1999.
It’s been a good few years now since we had any concrete news on the planned Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne biopic – but the family have confirmed that it is still in the works.
On the new film-themed episode of The Osbournes Podcast, entitled Go To The Movies, Ozzy and Sharon – along with Kelly and Jack – all chat about the anticipated biopic, which is currently planned to portray the couple for a 20-year span from between the years of 1979 to 1999.
The Prince Of Darkness morbidly opens up their discussions by stating that, “By the time they finish this film, I’ll be dead…” before Sharon adds that, “Movies take forever to make. Forever.”
Nevertheless, they all then go on to talk about who could feature in the two leading roles, with Kelly saying she thinks Florence Pugh should play her mum. Sharon agrees that she either wants the Midsommar / Dune: Part Two star, or “the little girl from Game Of Thrones” (we think she means Maisie Williams, given that Jack replies, “Maisie…?!”).
Jack, meanwhile, reckons Bill Hader would be perfect to play his dad (“I think he’d be brilliant,” agrees Sharon), though Ozzy himself doesn’t know who that is… Either way, though, we can’t wait to see and hear more about it!

In other news, earlier this year Sharon confirmed that Ozzy would be playing a couple of final UK dates in the future: “He won’t tour again,” she said, “but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like, ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly.’
“We will do it in Aston Villa where Ozzy is from. His voice is still absolutely perfect. And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons so his voice is perfect. And he can joke, yeah. He has all these melodies in his head. Even if you don’t like his music you can’t not like Ozzy, he just draws you in.”
