It’s the New Year, and with loads of exciting music already in the pipeline, it’s time to start thinking about adding to your vinyl collection.
So, appropriately, Record Store Day UK have just confirmed the date for this year’s iteration – which is the 19th edition of the album-celebrating initiative. It’ll take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026 across more than 280 record stores, with releases due to be unveiled in the coming months.
“Independent record stores are the beating heart of the music community,” says Giles Pocock, VP of Brand Marketing. “Record Store Day celebrates the artistry and craftsmanship that makes music so special, and we’re proud to continue our support.”
RSD have also revealed that War Child will be this year’s Official Charity Partner, with Rich Clarke, Head of Music, enthusing that, “We’re delighted to be a long-term partner of Record Store Day celebrating independent record shops and the communities who support them. We’re honoured to the be the official charity partner and to use that platform to give vital support by children affected by conflict around the world.”
