Metallica announce 21-date M72 North America tour, including Sick New World 2025
Metallica’s epic M72 run is extending into next summer, with the band bringing along Limp Bizkit, Ice Nine Kills, Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies…
This Vulgar Display Of Power-themed T-shirt from Pantera will get the message across to those struggling with the concept of social distancing.
Unfortunately, we're still seeing people across the globe disregarding the need to practice social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic. Thankfully, though, Pantera seem to have come up with a solution to help get the message across.
The legendary Texan heavy metallers have just unveiled a spoof T-shirt based on the classic artwork for their Vulgar Display Of Power album, in which a man is seen being punched right in the gob. In the band's new, updated version, however, the victim is wearing a surgical mask, and the person doing the hitting has got a medical glove on.

Even more important are the words written underneath the image, taken from their hit single Walk: 'Be yourself, by yourself / Stay away from me.'
Pantera have announced that 40 per cent of the net proceeds from this ace tee will be going to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, which helps those in the music community who have been affected by coronavirus.

This is just the latest update from the rock and metal community which has been playing its part in the coronavirus relief effort. In the last couple of weeks alone, Beartooth released 'stay at home' bundles for charity, while Avenged Sevenfold gave away free merch to fans as an incentive to stay at home, and Download Festival unveiled a limited-edition T-shirt to raise money for the NHS.
Fall Out Boy, meanwhile, donated $100,000 to COVID-19 Response Fund in their hometown of Chicago, and Metallica pledged $350,000 to four different organisations “dedicated to assisting those hit hard by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic”.
