EP review: VOWER – apricity
Ex-Palm Reader and Black Peaks members come together as VOWER and astound on debut EP…
VOWER will be rounding out their first year as a band with a special headline show at The Lower Third in London this December.
To coincide with the release of their debut EP Apricity – which is out now – new band VOWER have just announced a London headline show.
Something of a UK alternative supergroup – comprised of Rabea Massaad (Toska), Joe Gosney (Black Peaks/Palm Reader), Liam Kearney (Black Peaks) and Josh Mckeown (Palm Reader) – the five-piece will be heading to the capital at the end of the year, performing at The Lower Third on December 6.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 12 at 10am, which is the day after the band play 2000trees. In our round-up of the best stuff to see at this weekend’s festival, we said of VOWER and why you should check them out at the fest: “Tracks like Shroud and False Rituals already spike and shudder with a compelling combination of post rock, prog metal and post hardcore, but there’s an inescapable feeling that they’re barely scratching the surface. Best to see them live to find out how deep the well of inspiration truly goes.”
