Since My Chemical Romance's mysterious video An Offering… was uploaded to YouTube on January 19, fans have been speculating about what the whole cryptic two-minute clip means.
Of course, its main purpose was seemingly to announce the first of the New Jersey heroes' shows at the MK Stadium in Milton Keynes this summer (they've since added two more due to overwhelming demand). And while the MCRmy eagerly examined every single still from the spooky video, it now looks as though the orchestral music that accompanies the footage might actually be a real single.
Music identification app Shazam had previously come up with nothing when fans ran An Offering… through the software, but now, more than a week after it was first revealed, the piece of music is in the video is recognised as an actual song within Apple Music's database. Could it be an intro song to an upcoming album? Or the opening of a brand-new single?

JDubbs813 posted the following to My Chem's Reddit upon making the discovery:
"Guys! Remember when someone said, 'What if we Shazam the Offering… video?' Nothing worked then, but I got a notification from Shazam today, and it came up… That means that there's now a song with this title in Apple Music's database.
"I have my own music on Apple Music, Spotify, etc., and when this happens with my music, it means my next release has been distributed to and processed by Apple Music, and it's in their database. I always use this to find out when Apple gets my music after I give it to RouteNote to distribute, so I can start promoting it. This nearly confirms that An Offering… is a track that is to be included in an official MCR release."
