In-between their residency in Vegas, Metallica will be playing a couple of smaller shows for the 25th anniversary of Uncasville’s Mohegan Sun Arena.
Watch Kirk Hammett and Rob Trujillo get in the Halloween spirit with an epic jam to Edgar Winter's Frankenstein…
Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo's jam sessions have become a major part of Metallica's live shows, and now the pair have brought it to the internet with a new online cover of Frankenstein.
Getting in the Halloween spirit for Blackened Whiskey (with the help of audio mix / videographer Steve Ogan, editor Brett Murray and music editor Jason Gossman), Kirk and Rob jam along to the Edgar Winter instrumental, taken from 1972 album They Only Come Out At Night.
And while the guitarist is seemingly very much focussed on his "spooky jams with the main man" in the video, bassist Rob undergoes a suitably Halloween-y transformation as he performs. Awesome.

In other Metallica news, earlier this month drummer Lars Ulrich hinted that the band are thinking about new music – but there's nothing concrete on the way just yet.
"Obviously, ultimately, we like the seesaw element of it, the balance, but still, it’s like, 'Let’s get on with it. Let’s go play some shows. Let’s hope that we can get through the next few months without anybody going down, keep our fingers crossed. Let’s be cautious, let’s be respectful of the situation out there.’
"And of course there’s new music coming, there’s always new music coming,” he added. "It keeps us alive, you know that… Listen, I wish I could… I mean, of course there’s new music, but there’s nothing cohesive. There’s not a story, there’s not anything to really back it up yet.”
