Metallica have released a new range of surfwear inspired by the Black Album
Following on from their recent collaboration with Nixon watches, Metallica have teamed up with surf company Billabong for a new range inspired by their 1991 self-titled album.
It's just the first of five new lines created with Billabong LAB, with a new collection dropping every month until March 2020. The first capsule was launched yesterday (October 22) and features four pieces of surf apparel influenced by Metallica's game-changing fifth full-length, known as The Black Album.
This debut collection features a t-shirt, board shorts, a jacket and a wetsuit, all in black with the infamous snake from the Black Album cover.

In an additional promo video, the four members of Metallica speak about the energy and feeling of performing live onstage, while pro-surfers discuss how it feels to be riding waves, like they're comparing notes on being adrenaline junkies.
