Stone Temple Pilots and Live are going on an anniversary co-headline tour
Stone Temple Pilots and Live will be celebrating 30 years of their classic albums Purple and Throwing Copper across North America later this year…
'90s alt rockers Live give fans the first taste of the 25th anniversary edition of Throwing Copper.
Pennsylvanian post-grungers Live are releasing a 25th anniversary deluxe edition of their Billboard-smashing record, Throwing Copper, on July 19th via Radioactive/MCA/Ume. On top of the full record, the band is promising never-before-released tracks. To kick things off, they’ve released a B-side from the record, titled Hold Me Up.
This is more of a ballad track that fits right into Throwing Copper's tone, hearkening back straight to the mid-90s. This is definitely the sort of song you could imagine people waving their lighters to in a big arena setting or playing during a nice barbecue party on a hot summer night, especially when the soaring guitar solo breaks through in the middle of the track.

Live frontman Ed Kowalczyk sat down with Kerrang! to reflect on Throwing Copper, saying, “We were coming off of our first album, Mental Jewelry, which did really well. We toured a lot for that record, came back, and then we had six months to make another one. Our first thoughts were to put it on college radio and see what happens. You’d never imagine a year later, you’d start the tour in a club in Philadelphia and end it in the Spectrum Arena. In literally one year. It’s an incredible milestone.”
Live will be performing all of Throwing Copper on their summer-long co-headlining tour with 90s alternative rock buddies Bush, who are celebrating the anniversary of their landmark record Sixteen Stone. Dates are listed below:
