Bush share Nowhere To Go But Everywhere, announce new greatest hits compilation
Bush have announced their first greatest hits compilation Loaded: The Greatest Hits 1994 – 2023, and shared a new single entitled Nowhere To Go But Everywhere.
Bush and Live will embark on a 32-date run in the U.S. and Canada dubbed The ALT-IMATE Tour.
Bust out the flannel and frost those tips: alt-rock bands Bush and Live are joining forces for what they're calling The ALT-IMATE TOUR, a co-headline summer run that celebrates the 25th anniversaries of their respective landmark albums Sixteen Stone and Throwing Copper. And if that's not enough '90s on one bill for you, rounding out the lineup are contemporaries Our Lady Peace.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour will hit arenas and outdoor amphitheaters in over 30 cities across North America, kicking off June 6th in Mashantucket, CT, and wrapping up September 8th in Rochester, MI, at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre.
"We are thrilled to be touring this summer with Live," says Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. "The wealth and depth of songs from both bands should provide a great night of music. Looking forward to seeing you all this summer."
"Bush is a great band and Gavin is a super passionate singer and performer. I'm really looking forward to spending the summer with them," says Live frontman Ed Kowalczyk. "I know the fans are going to get one hell of a show."
No word on set lists yet, but one can bet that both bands will be leaning deeply into the material from each of their iconic records from 1994.
As a refresher, Sixteen Stone features such hits as Everything Zen, Little Things, Comedown, Machinehead, and of course, Glycerine.
"Sixteen Stone propelled us onto the musical landscape," says Rossdale. "Those songs have found a way into the soundtrack of people's lives and that is the highest compliment available. We've continued to make music that resonates with people."
Meanwhile, Throwing Copper includes the incredibly successful singles Lightning Crashes, Selling The Drama, All Over You, and I Alone.
"It's an amazing feeling to know that these songs still resonate so profoundly with people," says Kowalczyk. "And I still totally get off on celebrating this music with them. With Throwing Copper, we were taking on big things with a big sound. Love, truth, birth, death, philosophy, religion, spirituality...we were asking the perennial questions and poking around for answers with this massive and dynamic sound. It attracted people from all over the world."
Together, the two albums sold over 20 million copies combined.
