Inside the colourful, creative world of BEX
Meet BEX: the rising, WARGASM-approved punk star inspired by riot grrrl, Olivia Rodrigo, and growing up with Kerrang!’s very own TV channel…
Watch the lyric video for BEX’s new single Sum Kinda Syko, which is a song that “reflects my experience with harassment, unwanted attention, and how this person couldn’t accept boundaries”.
A couple of months on from the BLACKPINK-inspired Taste Better, BEX has unleashed a new single.
The singer’s lyrically-raging latest effort is called Sum Kinda Syko, and as she says, it “represents someone who crossed boundaries”.
BEX continues: “What started as admiration slowly turned into something overwhelming over the course of two years. This person began crossing lines in ways that became unsettling, with their behaviour becoming increasingly invasive. I brushed it off for a while, but one night, things escalated beyond what I could ignore, and I realised I was in a dangerous situation.
“Sum Kinda Syko reflects my experience with harassment, unwanted attention, and how this person couldn’t accept boundaries. Syko is a reminder of how quickly things can go from harmless to threatening.”
She adds that, “Every single lyric is true and meaningful. This track is a lyrical masterpiece, it’s so blunt and honestly comedic when you read the lyrics alone.”
