Iron Maiden celebrate The Trooper being used in the Stranger Things finale
“Eddie got his moment!” Iron Maiden’s The Trooper was used in the perfect way in the Stranger Things finale, Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up.
Taken from their soon-to-be-released covers EP PHANTOMIME, Ghost have just unveiled a spectacular cover of Phantom Of The Opera by Iron Maiden.
We’ve got just a few more days to wait until Ghost release their five-song covers EP PHANTOMINE, but the band have just unveiled one of the record’s most highly-anticipated tracks: Phantom Of The Opera.
Not of the Andrew Lloyd Webber variety – Ghost’s new cover is of Iron Maiden’s 1980 effort, taken from their self-titled album. And it’s no secret that mainman Tobias Forge is massively influenced by Maiden, telling Planet Rock that his love for them transcends just the music – he loves their live production, and “also when it comes to work ethics and just the sheer volume of work you have to put into your job [and] in your craft has always been inspiring to me.”
