After wrapping up You Me At Six’s incredible 2025 farewell tour with two nights at London’s OVO Arena Wembley last April, it looks like former frontman Josh Franceschi’s post-band plans involve new music.
Excitingly, Josh has taken to social media to share a blurry/arty photo from the studio – on X it’s captioned, “2026, let’s cook,” while on Instagram the singer writes: “New year, same dna. 2026 going after it.” And in the comments, when asked by a fan, “New music??” Josh simply replies, “Duh x.”
Speaking to Kerrang! last spring about what he might want to do after the end of YMA6 (but not giving anything away), Josh explained that, “There are things for all five of us that are already taking shape, but the boring answer is that for now we’re just totally engrossed in this [farewell tour] and committed to it. We’d be really naive to not already have things on our radar.
“Some of us want to go travelling, some people want to start families, some people want to move completely out of music, some people want to move even deeper into different areas of music… For some of us, it’s a challenge of what life can look like outside of this thing that has dominated our lives for so long. I think that’s scary, but equally, it’s really, really exciting.”
Check out the new posts below, and stay tuned for hopefully more reveals from Josh in the coming months…
